Two years ago today Michael and I got the best news of our lives...the positive pregnancy test from weeks earlier was legit!
After eight years of disappointment, seeing these images was more than a little bit overwhelming.
For those of you who are dealing with infertility and experiencing that disappointment month after month after month, I know your pain and I'm so sorry.
I know that every pregnancy announcement by a family member or friend or colleague can fill you with incredible grief and resentment. I know that anytime someone complains about the aches and pains of pregnancy or the lack of sleep with a newborn or the frustration of dealing with a toddler, you want to scream. I know what goes through your head when you see stories about child abuse and neglect.
For years Michael and I suffered through these feelings alone. It was horrible.
You don't have to suffer alone.
RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association has so many ways to support you.
There is a local chapter hosting a walk Saturday, May 6 in Grimes.
If you're interested in adoption, The National Center for Adoption is a local organization with support and resources to help you.
You are not alone.
